Today the team that is Elguji launched a new application to complement their award winning IdeaJam. They call it IQJam.

There's been many blog posts about this today, many that are certainly better written then this one, but I'd like to say a couple things about this news.

First of all, I love the idea. It just makes sense to me. I can personally think of several places I'd love to use this right away. Several weeks ago I actually suggested adding a question section to the xpagesblogsite, and Matt slyly said to hold on to that thought as they might be "doing something" soon. He was right. It was worth the wait. I can think of several projects where I'd love to use this application. 8.5.1 can't get hear soon enough!

From the screenshots it looks like the UI really complements IdeaJam. I'm sure that, like IdeaJam, it'll be very easy to use. This looks like another great example of what XPages can do for Domino Development.

While I think that traditional forums still have a place for conversational topics, this looks like the natural evolution to a forum who's purpose is for users to ask questions and get answers. Certainly the Lotus Developer Forums are not what they once were as many of the key experts vacated them for the blogosphere. Maybe this format will keep the experts interested in sticking around and providing knowledge to those who need it.

Congrats to Bruce, Gayle and Matt. While I might wade in the kiddie pool that is XPages, Elguji is the deep sea explorers of this world.

2 - I guess what I'm trying to say is, I don't think you can measure life in terms of years. I think longevity doesn't necessarily have anything to do with happiness. I mean happiness comes from facing challenges and going out on a limb and taking risks. If you're not willing to take a risk for something you really care about, you might as well be dead.
